Sooooo a little bit about me......

I decided to run my private dayhome two years ago, after the birth of my third child. The experience has been more rewarding than I could have thought possible. Not only have I been fortunate enough to stay home with my own children but I have also been given an amazing group of little ones to care for.

Previous to running my dayhome, I worked in the hair industry for 10 years as a Salon/Spa Manager. Though I enjoyed what I did, more and more I wanted the opportunity to spend time with my children. So I opened my dayhome! It has to be said though, I sometime I feel that being a manager of a major Salon and Spa was a cake walk at times! And I love it!

Sooo why did I open a dayhome????

Well not only did I open it for the opportunity to be with my children, I also opened it to be with your children. As a parent who utilized child care for almost 7 years, I understand the need to feel you have your child(ren) with someone you can trust. You want that person to love your child as you love them, teach them responsibility, show them what's outside of their little world and spend time with them. Personally I wanted someone who would laugh at the silly jokes, tell some of their own, know the ins and outs of what was cool in the "kid world", smile every time they saw them and hugged them when they asked. That is a little of what I hope to provide to "my monkey's".

What else in a nutshell.....?

I love to eat whatever my husband cooks, he generally likes to eat everything I bake (but the kids always love it!). I love to sew clothes for my little girl and have become quite good at it! I was born and raised in Victoria BC and moved to Calgary in the spring of 2007. I love science (mostly about the universe). My first born son is 9, my second born son is 6 and my little girl aka "princess" is 3. I am a very proud mama (most of the time). I am not a morning person, but was forced to be by my children. I just discovered a new love for photography. And I am addicted to Pinterest!

Thank you for stopping by I hope to hear from you soon!

Terri

We have been with Terri for a year and it has been a wonderful and comforting experience, for all of us.  Lily loves going to Terri's, when she wake up on the weekends she is disappointed that she isn't going to daycare. We love to see how much our daughter has grown, and how Terri treats her as one of her own.

My son has been with Terri for just over a year now and it's been one of the best places I could have sent him too. I was iffy about dayhome's due to a prior experience but I have since changed my mind and would highlyrecommend Terri to anyone. My son is always happy to go to Terri's, he will even complain if we have a day off at home because he truly enjoys it so much.

Fynn has been attending Terri's dayhome since January 2013.  We are pleased with how well cared for Fynn is.  When I pick her up, she is happy and talks about how much fun she had that day. I've known Terri for 6 years, she  is kind, caring, organized and crafty.  Terri pays attention to details like the kids' nutritional needs and what their temperaments are.  Terri is great!
